Mel B to undergo laser treatment
After the procedure, Mel B will now need a laser treatment to hide the scar. "I wanted the tattoo removed to help close the final chapter on a toxic relationship. Even though I’ve taken the steps to remove Stephen’s name from my body, the domestic abuse will forever remain with me" Mel B told People Magazine.
History of (alleged) violence in Mel B's marriage
In April 2017, Mel B has obtained a restraining order application against estranged husband Stephen Belafonte.
According to Mel, Stephen beat her up on many occasions, got their nanny pregnant and forced her to take part in threesomes throughout their ten-year marriage.
The 41-year-old star made a lot of disturbing claims in her court declaration which means Stephen to stay away from her and her three children.
TMZ reported the allegations of abuse levied against Belafonte includes 'punching' and 'choking' Mel, 'splitting her lip' and 'pushing her down on a carpet'.
Mel, who filed for divorce from the producer last month, in court papers say the psychological and physical abuse dates back to the first year of their marriage, in 2007.
In the papers, Mel claims that Stephen forced her to 'participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women.'
