Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil has reportedly given Spanish giants FC Barcelona a deadline to decide whether or not they want to sign him in January, in a news published by soccerladuma.co.za
The Germany international is in the final six months of his current contract, and there are rumours he is looking to leave the club either in the upcoming transfer window or at the end of the season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ozil has given the Blaugrana two weeks to determine whether or not they want his services at the Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old's agent, Erkut Sogut, is understood to have been permitted to negotiate terms with the Catalans by Arsenal's new sporting director Raul Sanllehi.
The former Real Madrid star has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, and is believed to be open to reuniting with Jose Mourinho.
There have been reports stating that Arsenal are still trying to keep their German playmaker, and have offered him a new deal worth £275 000 (R5 million) a week.
Ozil has made 13 appearances for the Gunners so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting a further five strikes.
